The KARTINI HOUSE DFSV PREVENTION PROGRAM is a primary prevention initiative designed to stop domestic, family, and sexual violence (DFSV) before it even begins. This program takes a proactive approach to address the root causes of violence and tackles the specific risk factors that exist within our communities
This program is run by Perhimpunan Indonesia - The Indonesian Association of NSW Inc., and it takes place at the Ryde Multicultural Centre every fortnight. Bilingual DFSV support workers, fluent in Bahasa Indonesia, facilitate each session, ensuring accessibility and understanding for those whose first language is Bahasa Indonesia.
By empowering our community with knowledge and strategies, we can foster a culture of respect, equality, and safety, breaking down the barriers that allow violence to persist.
The program is specifically designed for members of the South-East Asian community who speak Bahasa Indonesia as their first language. It is an inclusive initiative for individuals, families, and community leaders who want to be part of the solution to prevent violence and promote safety and respect.
Through the KARTINI HOUSE DFSV PREVENTION PROGRAM, we aim to create a stronger, safer, and more informed community. By educating and empowering participants, we foster long-term change in the way we address DFSV. Join us in taking action to stop violence before it starts and work towards a future where everyone can live free from harm.
